The weather at the start of Spring is notoriously unpredictable and hard to plan for, so styling during this transitional time of year can be challenging.  Luckily we had stylist and fashion blogger Elizabeth of A Keene Sense of Style come in last week to show us how she would work our newest Spring arrivals – creating looks that are light enough for the new season, but warm enough for the persistant chill in the weather.

Styling Look 1

look 1 details  For Look One, Elizabeth styled our Retro Jersey Stripe Tee with our new Lemon Twill Jeans, Basket Weave Tweed Jacket and Estella Tote Bag.  The look was the epitome of Preppy Chic.

Styling Look 2

For Look Two Elizabeth styled our new Romantic Dress with the Tribal Spot Scarf in Ochre and the Knotted Waist Belt.  This style is easy and elegant.

Styling Look 3 and 4

Look Three features our Ruby Twill pants, Suede Wedges, Thelma Tote Bag, Cascade Necklace, Beach Spot Scarf and Luxury Tunic Sweater.

For Look Four, Elizabeth tried out one of our favorite short Kaftan’s in green.  It was gorgeous on her!

Styling Look 5

Elizabeth was all about our Scallop Edge Belt sharing this tip: “Turn the belt buckle around so that it’s in back if you’re pairing this piece with a bold statement necklace.  That way, the two pieces aren’t overpowering one another!”

In look five, she paired the Red Scalloped Edge Belt with the Asymmetric Swing Kelly Dress, Suede Wedges and Thelma Tote Bag.  This style is versatile, comfortable and fun!

Styling Look 6 and 7

Finally, Elizabeth looked radiant in look six – our new Shawl Collar Dress and Sparkle Cardigan (perfect for going out) Thelma Tote Bag and Candy Wrap Bracelets  which added to the sparkle.

Then in look seven, Elizabeth played with pairing prints and layering accessories, teeming one of our Printed Pintuck Blouses with a Herringbone Mini Skirt, Green Scalloped Edge Belt, Suede Wedges, Thelma Tote and Batik Floral Scarf.

manikin styling

Elizabeth ended her styling session by giving one of our manikin’s a mini make-over.  She layered our latest cowl-neck stripe tee over one of our winter dresses – giving the basic black dress an injection of spring sophistication.  She then added a colorful belt, printed scarf and topped the look off with one of our red tano bags for a punch of color.  The end result was adorable and a true testament to what a bit of layering (and a sharp styling eye) can do!

Thanks Elizabeth for this sweet styling session!
